Cassidy was born and raised on the island of Jamaica. She fell in love with public speaking and acting through her school's theater group. She did local commercials and theater in Kingston before eventually moving to the U.S. and pursuing her passions at NYU Tisch School of the Arts (Stella Adler Studio) where she received a BFA in Theater. 

 

She continues to live and work in NYC. Most recently she played a lead role in a Lifetime Television Network movie, My Daughter's Deadly Roommates.
